Saveology.com™ Collects Non-Perishable Food for Local Food Drive and Children’s Items for Toys for Tots

– Saveology.com™, a consumer comparison-shopping portal focused on lowering the cost of living for households by providing valuable cost savings on known brands and services, held a food drive and collected 150 pounds of food to be donated to the Social Services Department in preparation for the holiday.

Located in South Plainfield, NJ, the Social Services/Welfare Department operates to assist the needy with financial help and guidance in their search for employment. In the case of the disabled, assistance is given to access such programs such as food stamps, energy assistance and other donations. Saveology.com wanted to help feed the homeless and needy and provide them with food for their Thanksgiving holiday.

Supporting various programs within the community is a goal of Saveology.com. This winter employees will also collect children’s toys for the local Toys for Tots, a foundation started by U.S. Marines in 1947. The foundation relies on donations from citizens as well as businesses to fill the warehouses that provide toys for children of families that meet income guidelines.

Saveology.com makes it a priority to give back and to provide for children’s charities every year through various opportunities that make a broader impact on our community.
