Saveology.com finalized its fundraising efforts on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Broward Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Coincidentally, the company-wide effort generated over $13,000 raised by competing departments who were given the challenge of promoting two fundraising ideas in order to raise their allotted team goals. The Saveology.com team focused events included the Dunk the Executives promotion where various departments sacrificed an executive to be in a dunk tank as opposing teams purchased baseballs to ultimately dunk them, a company version of Cup Cake Wars and a Dolphins NFL tailgating and game day event. 
Family focused events included the Saveology.com Spooktacular that was hosted at the Saveology.com Iceplex in a private ice skating rink and party room and even Sheriann Namer, the South Florida LLS Campaign Organizer and CJ George our Honored Hero and his family were in attendance. Additional events included a Rock and Roll event with local rock bands supporting the cause and a Happy Hour and Sports Memorabilia Auction hosted at Capone’s.
The New Jersey office showed its support by hosting various efforts to include a Hot Dog Eating Contest, a bake sale and various other motivational events. In addition to the money raised at these various events from family and staff members, generous on-line donations were received from numerous brand partners.
Saveology.com staff members continue to be a supporter of this cause and the many other causes supported throughout the year. Unfortunately we were also touched by the loss of a staff member in late October. While this was unexpected, the walk provided our staff with the opportunity to extend our support to her family and friends by inviting them to join us at the Light the Night Walk and to be part of the remembrance ceremony segment of the event.
