Saveology.com™ Raises Money to Help Young Leukemia Patient

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ. – December 22, 2008 – Saveology.com™, a consumer comparison-shopping portal focused on lowering the cost of living for households by providing valuable cost savings on known brands and services, donates over $800.00 in the fight to help local young Leukemia patient, Brian Hack of Old Bridge, New Jersey.

Recently diagnosed with the disease this past August, eight-year old Brian Hack is currently undergoing intensive therapy for Leukemia at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey and Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University. Unable to attend school, Brian is being tutored at home and the hospital. The Hacks' community has been committed to help the family by holding various fund raisers within the community ranging from school dress down days to car washes.

In the effort to support Brian Hack, the Saveology.com New Jersey office held a bake sale as well as a fund raiser and collected $880 to help the Hack family with expenses. “Our hearts go out to the Hack family and we are very happy to be able to assist in their time of need. Brian is in our prayers”, Zenya Gallagher, VP of Corporate Operations, who spearheaded the effort.

Helping out in the community is important to Saveology.com and its employees. Additional New Jersey goals included the annual food drive organized around the Thanksgiving holiday while staff collected 150 lbs. of food items to donate to the Social Services Department in South Plainfield. Saveology.com makes it a priority to give back to the community and continues to do so every year.
